Well, after several years of various animals coming and going in our lives, my husband and I decided we wouldn't have any more animals in the house before or after the existing ones are gone. We were done! Well, some how before we new it we managed to talk ourselves into getting a new dog under the guise that it would be for our little girl.
Needless to say, I am second guessing that decision big time. Only he is already here and our little girl already loves her new baby! Ugh... definitely should have thought this one through better! So now we have to train it on everything. When and where to eat, go potty and sleep. And like a typical baby he is bound and determined to do it his way. I know that in the end it will be worth it. She will have a companion that will grow with her. And they will be great friends. However, I am the one that seems to be doing all the work where the little guy is concerned and it is driving me crazy!
I really hope that she appreciates all the work that I will have done and all the money I will have spent when all is said and done. But, it probably won't be until she is grown and has kids of her own that want pets. And then maybe I won't laugh when she calls me venting her frustrations. :)
